SEEKING
Equity chorus singers (Female characters) for future replacements in the Broadway production of Disney's THE LION KING.
We encourage singers of all cultural backgrounds to attend this call.
ENSEMBLE: Strong female identifying singers who move very well---late teens – mid 40s.
PREPARATION
Please be prepared to sing one brief classic R&B, pop or rock and roll song that shows off your voice and range. Please do not sing material from THE LION KING. No standard Broadway theatre music. Bring sheet music. Pianist provided. Bring your headshot and resume, stapled together.
ENSEMBLE REQUIREMENTS
"The Lion King ensemble is comprised of the animals living in the Pride Lands of the African savanna, the hyenas who inhabit the elephant graveyard just beyond the Pride Lands, and native African people. The ensemble members of The Lion King must be triple threats in all sense of the word and have the ability to sing difficult rhythms and harmonies, as well as the physical stamina to perform several involved African tribal dances and to withstand wearing and manipulating their complicated and unusual costumes."
